Extreme Caution: - When Detective Cole finds a home that is already abandoned or vacant, he enters with his weapon drawn, to guard against squatters. The World Press Photo judges chose this image as World Press Photo of the Year.
Anthony Suau: 52ο βραβείο World Press Photo της χρονιάς με αυτή τη φωτογραφία στο Time Magazine. Επίσης υποψήφιος το 1987, θα παραλάβει το βραβείο στις 3 Μαΐου στο Άμστερνταμ. Όλες οι φωτογραφίες θα εκτεθούν στην galerie Azzedine Alaia, στο Παρίσι 6 έως 27 Μαΐου. Ο φωτογράφος καταγράφει τα αποτελέσματα της οικονομικής κρίσης στο Κληβλαντ, Οχάιο. Τις στρατιές των ανθρώπων που έχασαν τα σπίτια τους μη μπορώντας να τα αποπληρώσουν, τα αποτελέσματα της ανεργίας, την ερήμωση ολόκληρων συνοικιών, τους νεόπτωχους της εποχής μας στη κοιτίδα του παγκόσμιου καπιταλισμού, τις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες.
Forced Out: - The elderly woman who lived in this house was unable to keep up with her payments. Friends and family help her move out her belongings.
